Strong Enough?

Life is tough and who ever said that it was easy...well they are/were wrong. Life doesn't always hand us lemons to make lemonade out of. Sometimes life hands us tomatoes so we make salsa. But the beauty of life handing us things to deal with means that we must step up to the plate and show our strength. Whether or not we have enough strength should never cross our minds. What is so amazing about our Heavenly Father? HE has the strength we need to get through the trails, temptations, or valleys we are experiencing.

Matthew West wrote a song called: Strong Enough. He talks about how he understands that he does not possess all of the strength he needs to get through life. At times, we may feel defeated and just want to throw our hands up and say, "I give up". However, God is God and God will provide. If we go to God and ask him for the strength that we need, or for Him to cover us with his mercy, God will prevail.

There has been a saying that goes around that says, "If it doesn't kill me it will only make me stronger." If we are wise, we learn through the struggles how to embrace our strength. Mandisa has a song called: Stronger. The lyrics talk about how what we are going through will make us stronger. But as Philippians 4:13 says, "I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength." We don't have to go to battle alone. We don't have to be foolish enough to say, I can do it all by myself.

We may not learn about why we go through trails on earth. One day, we will meet our Heavenly Father face to face and will be able to say "Thank you". Lean on God, embrace His mercy, and ask Him for strength!!
